Andrew Larigakis   B.E.S., B.Arch, MAIBC, LEED® AP

Andrew Larigakis graduated from the School of Architecture at the University of Waterloo (B.E.S., B.Arch.). He attended South Bank University in London, England through which he obtained U.K. Part III qualifications and RIBA membership. Andrew joined Hotson Bakker Boniface Haden architects + urbanistes in 2001 and is an Associate with the firm. His areas of expertise are in institutional, recreational and residential projects.

As Project Architect, Andrew led the design of Quest University; a $100 million campus for a new privately funded university in Squamish, BC. The scope of the project includes a Library Building, Recreation Building (with gym), Services Building (with a dining hall and kitchen), Academic Building (including classrooms, labs and offices) and a Meditation Centre.

Other key projects Andrew has worked on include the West Vancouver Civic Centre; Crystal City in Beijing, China; a large-scale residential development, The “Railyards” in Victoria, BC; a townhouse development on a converted former industrial site. Andrew is currently Project Architect for the Whistler High Performance Athletic Centre; an elite gym and training facility for the 2010 Olympics in the Athletes’ Village at Whistler, BC.

Andrew is a Qualified LEED® Accredited Professional and has extensive green building experience and knowledge. He is a member of the Architectural Institute of BC (MAIBC). Andrew is an active volunteer in our community, spending time coaching youth soccer, providing mentorship for student architects and coordinating the firm’s annual Food Bank volunteer program.
